On October 22, 2026, local residents in Mai Kaen District, Pattani Province, participated in a Hajat prayer at Ban Tha-Le Mosque, Moo 2, Talok Kraithong Subdistrict, Mai Kaen District, Pattani Province, to seek blessings from God. They also joined a peaceful march to demonstrate their opposition to all forms of violence and to call for peace in the southern border provinces.

The activity followed the tragic incident on October 16, 2026, when Sergeant Major Rusli Uma, a member of the Mai Kaen District Volunteer Defense Corps, was fatally shot while on his way to prayer. Local residents demonstrated their solidarity, rejection of violence, and commitment to promoting understanding and cooperation among government agencies, religious leaders, and the public, especially young people in the area, with the aim of creating a peaceful and secure society. They also provided security and moral support to the bereaved family.

🤝 ประชาชนอำเภอไม้แก่น จังหวัดปัตตานี รวมพลังปฏิเสธความรุนแรง สร้างสันติสุขคืนสู่จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้
เมื่อวันที่ 22 ตุลาคม 2569 ประชาชนในพื้นที่อำเภอไม้แก่น จังหวัดปัตตานี ร่วมประกอบพิธีละหมาดฮายัต ณ มัสยิดบ้านทะเล หมู่ที่ 2 ตำบลตะโละไกรทอง อำเภอไม้แก่น จังหวัดปัตตานี เพื่อขอพรต่อพระผู้เป็นเจ้า พร้อมเดินรณรงค์แสดงจุดยืน “ปฏิเสธความรุนแรงทุกรูปแบบ” และร่วมกันเรียกร้องสันติสุขให้กลับคืนสู่จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้
กิจกรรมดังกล่าว สืบเนื่องจากเหตุคนร้ายลอบยิง นายหมู่ใหญ่ รุสลี อูมา สมาชิกกองอาสารักษาดินแดนอำเภอไม้แก่น เสียชีวิตขณะเดินทางไปละหมาด เมื่อวันที่ 16 ตุลาคม 2569 โดยประชาชนร่วมกันแสดงพลังแห่งความสามัคคี ไม่ยอมรับความรุนแรง พร้อมส่งเสริมความเข้าใจอันดีและความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐ ผู้นำศาสนา และประชาชน โดยเฉพาะเยาวชนในพื้นที่ เพื่อร่วมกันสร้างสังคมที่สงบสุขและปลอดภัย ตลอดจนดูแลความปลอดภัยและสร้างขวัญกำลังใจให้แก่ครอบครัวผู้เสียชีวิต
จากกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ สะท้อนถึงพลังของพี่น้องประชาชนที่ไม่ยอมรับความรุนแรง และพร้อมจะยืนหยัดเคียงข้างกันเพื่อความสงบสุขของพื้นที่
